Our Impact:
Youth Theatre Uganda has used the power of drama and storytelling to reach out to communities especially the youth across Uganda. Through creative, filmed skits and school-based performances, we are making lasting change in lives and attitudes.
Our skits so far: HIV/aids awareness, family planning, Antenatal and Postnatal care, Teenage pregnancy, Mental Health and Neglect of the boy child
Reached more than 76,000 students in secondary schools through on-site video screening and live acting.
Partnered with organizations like Nama Wellness Community Health Centre and Seroma Christian High School to promote awareness on Antenatal and Postnatal care, safe motherhood and denounce Teenage pregnancy and promote Sexual Reproductive Health. We are currently in partnership with St.Balikuddembe Secondary School, Kisoga to promote awareness of Mental Health.
Led community sensitization campaigns on waste management and natural resource conservation
Opened dialogue around mental health stigma through relatable youth-focused performances both in schools and communities.
Our content is watched on platforms like YouTube and Tik Tok creating ripple effects even in areas we can’t physically reach.
